The AJS Model 14 was produced from 1958-1966 and sported a 248cc overhead valve single cylinder engine, capable of 70mph. In 1958 most other manufacturers were developing unit-construction techniques, however, AJS produced the nimble Model 14 range which retained a separate rear-mounted gearbox. Later models came with improved AM front forks and a later 14CSR sports model was introduced with improved suspension.

This barn find Model 14 Lightweight has been stored in a rural location for over 15 years and has only one former keeper. First registered on 19th October 1960 to a Mr Brain Whatman of Ashford in Kent, it was purchased by its current owner in 1994 and has remained unused since. It is believed to be totally original and complete. A perfect winter project for any enthusiast who would like to own a classic British motorcycle for a reasonable outlay.
