Described by every creditable performance motoring journal as 'the best driver's 911 yet', Porsche introduced the outstanding GT3 RS Generation 2 in May of 2010 to great critical aclaim. Not least for the 444bhp engine which gave the car a 0 - 60mph time of 3.9 secs and a 0 - 100mph time of 8.4 secs, on the way to a top speed of 196mph. Effectively a 'Carrera Cup' car for the road, the mind blowing performance of the car combined with racing derived suspension, with an exceptional ride/handling balance, also allowed the possibility of daily usage for the priveleged few.

Silverstone Auctions are a big fan of these cars and this stunning left-hand drive Porsche 997 GT3 RS (Gen II) is no exception. The car was supplied new by Porsche Zentrum Berlin in 2011 and has covered only 14,000 miles or 22,000 kms since. Beautifully finished in grey with black Clubsport interior with white decals, this example is supplied with bills and receipts for servicing from Porsche Berlin in 2013 and 2014. Supplied with 2 sets of keys, service wallet and tools, at the time of cataloguing a UK registration document has been applied for and should be ready in time for the auction. Pertinent factory specifications include:

90 litre fuel tank (082)
Cruise Control (454)
Front-Axle lift function (474)
ASK sound package (490)
6-point seat belts (579)
Sport Chrono package plus (640)

Universal Multimedia Interface (870)
Lightweight bucket seats (P02)
PCM 3.0 with extended navigation (P23)
Rear centre console, carbon (XMJ)

Coming with the benefit of factory warranty until April 2015, this car represents a unique opportunity and presents beautifully in the flesh. For added assurance, this RS will come to the auction directly from Porsche Cardiff, where it will undergo a complete health check that will be available for viewing in the history file.
