During the 1920's Studebaker offered three different six cylinder models up until the introduction of the 'Commander' at the end of 1927. This car is an early GB Commander 'Big Six', powered by a 354 cubic inch (5.8 litre) engine, which gave 75bhp - a significant amount of horse power in 1927. The model was so powerful back in the day, that it took the 15,000 mile speed record in October 1928, averaging an incredible 64.25mph for the distance.

As well as being powerful they were also very well built, rugged cars designed to cope with the poor road quality of the early 20th Century. This car is described by the vendor as a 'wonderful quality car with great presence'. The interior upholstery and fittings of this car in particular are highly original and in exceptional condition for the age of the car. Now showing 87,000 miles recorded, the vendor has MOT certificates going back for the last 25 years, during which time the car has covered just 12,000 totally reliable miles.

The car runs well and drives well, even the heater proving to work admirably during its most recent Spring test drive. This car is an opportunity to get involved in an iconic brand that gives reliable 1920's motoring, with an ability to carry all the family in style.

It comes with the original owner's manual, old MOT's, some paperwork, period registration number and offers outstanding value today in this price bracket.
