I have been lucky enough to combine my passion for cars and motor racing with my professional career for over 30 years now. During that time I have enjoyed representing many famous and prestigious brands as a main dealer which have included Lotus, AC, Noble, Toyota, Lexus, Porsche, Maserati and Ferrari. From 2001 until 2006 I also enjoyed a successful business partnership with ex-F1 World Champion, Damon Hill, during which time we represented BMW/Mini in Warwickshire and Audi in the West Country.
More recently it has been a pleasure to combine modern sports car and luxury car retailing with some exceptional classic cars, through my Nick Whale Sports Cars business which is now based in Claverdon, Warwickshire. Simultaneously my life time knowledge of buying and selling classic cars has come in very useful whilst establishing Silverstone Auctions early in 2011. This specialist classic car auction house has done spectacularly well from its first sale at Silverstone Circuit in June 2011 and looks set to become one of the leading classic car auction houses in the UK, supporting many key motoring events nationwide.
The people in all my businesses have been the key to our success and their approach and caring attitude have consistently allowed us to lead the way in providing real customer delight, as evidenced by our level of repeat business.
It has also been my privilege to have recently served on the main board of both the BRDC and the MSA, including some testing times in 2008/2009, when the British Grand-Prix seemed lost forever!

Coming from five generations of auctioneers, Jonathan's own Northamptonshire auction business, J.P Humbert Auctioneers Ltd, is also based near Silverstone. Jonathan sells over 25000 lots per annum including fine art, antiques and property. He has presided over the sale of many important and historic motor cars from Aston Martin to Rolls Royce. Will has immersed himself in the auction world for over five years since graduating form law school. An experienced international auction negotiator, Will can be found at any number of events in Europe throughout the year and he is a highly passionate enthusiast at heart.

Jonny is a professional photographer who has expanded his photographic work to his other passion of motor cars with Silverstone Auctions. He has been an avid car fanatic since he was a young boy walking around the pits of his local race track, Silverstone. Having been brought up in and around classic cars and motor racing through his father, he is knowledgeable and passionate about cars, so cut from the perfect cloth for Silverstone Auctions.

'20 years in the industry, starting with the family business together with being a motor racing enthusiast, has kept my feet firmly on the pedals.
Previously, in addition to working with Nick at Nick Whale Sports Cars in Bromsgrove, I was Dealer Principal at Ferrari/ Maserati, Birmingham and I also have main dealer experience with Aston Martin, BMW and Mercedes.
I'm an ex Hill Climb driver but realised when the young guys were quicker and slicker it was time to give up!
In my Ferrari days, I was a member of Club Fiorano, the Ferrari Racing Club, which provided some of the most enjoyable times of my life.
Cars are in my blood - it's a passion, a hobby and a great business to be in.

Trevor Foster - Competition Car Specialist

Trevor Foster has been in motorsport for over 40 years!
I started my career in 1970 with Bob Gerard Racing in Formula 2, before then progressing to Formula 1 with Shadow Grand-Prix and subsequently the famous Tyrell Racing Organisation.
I then spent the next 11 seasons as a Chief Mechanic, Senior Race Engineer and Team Manager in Formula Ford and Formula 3, before joining Eddie Jordan Racing to contest Formula 3000.
In 1990 Jordan Grand-Prix was formed and I became Senior Race Engineer until 1996 when my role progressed to Operations Director and eventually Managing Director in 1998.
In 2002 I became Operations Director and then Managing Director of Zytek Motorsport up until January 2011, but have recently chosen to switch focus to my own consultancy business and Silverstone Auctions Ltd.
I plan now to utilise my significant experience and established contacts to specialise in the consignment of race and rally cars of all genre for Silverstone Auctions, in an enjoyable and exciting new venture.

Cars have always been a huge passion in my working life and as such I have held various sales roles over the years selling brands such as Toyota, Mercedes Benz through to Ferrari/Maserati.
I also spent several years out in the Middle East region as a Programme Manager for the Overseas Military Sales Organisation which culminated in me being assigned to the Nimitz class aircraft super carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.
In more recent years I have been part of a team specialising in the sales and restoration of classic BMW and Mercedes Benz motor cars before returning to the Midlands in 2012 and embarking on this new and exciting role with Silverstone Auctions.

Motorsport has been a major part of my life - from Touring cars - to three UK saloon car championships and three Willhire 24 hour victories. This culminated in 8 years as a works driver for Saab UK backed by Mobil oil company.
Therefore, a progression towards historic cars has become almost a natural evolution. The friendship with Nick was formed on the UK race circuits during the 80's. Our association shares a similar ethos - to now procure cars for discerning buyers with a simple remit:
"Cars we would be proud to own and drive ourselves".

Throughout my career I have spent 25 years as the managing director of a family business. I have always maintained a strong interest in sports and racing cars. In my teens I started motor racing with Karts, which over the years has progressed into sports and GT racing. I have competed in races throughout the UK and latterly competing in endurance racing in Europe. I am also an avid collector of motor related memorabilia and military heritage collectables.
I have known Nick for many years both personally and professionally, I was delighted to be asked to join the team at Silverstone auctions to help in building the brand and to be part of a highly motivated, competent team of enthusiasts.

Having worked with Silverstone Auctions at each auction since the hugely successful Classic sale back in July 2011, I'm delighted to now be an official part of the team supporting administration behind the scenes!
With my love of classic and historic cars and generally, the smell of Castrol ‘R' at race meetings, I'm in the right place. A fan of all things Goodwood and with a personal dream of owning a late 60's Pagoda Top Mercedes, I've previously owned things as diverse as an Austin Princess 4LR, an Austin 1100 (my first car!!) a Hillman Imp and a Maserati BiTurbo Sports as well as an Alvis Speed Twenty! My background is in sales and marketing.

I have always had an interest in cars, and used to be spanner-holder for my brother when he was fixing his car or messing around with wiring. I have always loved Minis and aspire to own a classic Mini in the next years.
