The iconic Ford Mustang was first introduced by Ford in April 1964 to an enthusiastic and inspired audience. Over 100,000 orders were taken in the first 3 months that the car went on sale and the car was both an instant and long term sales success. It was forever immortalised by Steve McQueen during that famous car chase scene in the 1960's film 'Bullitt'. We are informed by the vendor that this particular Mustang Fastback was subject to a complete restoration in 2011 by its last owner in Canada both bodily and mechanically before being shipped over to the UK, (photos of the rebuild have been provided). To add to this cars visual appeal the vendor recently decided to embark on a complete colour change on the car to the iconic Highland Green transforming this car into what many people would argue is one of the coolest automotive masterpieces ever to have been created. Turning the key brings this monster 302 V8 engine to life, performance is excellent with an addictive rumble from the big V8. Driving this Mustang confirms your expectations; the V8 delivers the kind of sound you want from an American muscle car, and pulls well through all gears. There is a very useable band of power, easily tapped through the desirable manual T5 transmission, which also benefits from the fitting of a new clutch. The body is free from rust and corrosion and looks to be in excellent order throughout, all bright work is in fine shape, likewise the Bullitt style alloys are in excellent condition and shod with good rubber all round. Sold with a full MOT this is your chance to get behind the wheel of a motoring icon, be sure to take your test drive with the windows down, shades on and you'll want to hear that V8 burble, and you'll look effortlessly cool as well.
