1990 TVR 400SE - SOLD - Refer Department

The involvement of the much missed TVR legend, Peter Wheeler, started with the production of the V8 Tasmin. It reflected all things that he believed TVR should stand for: an excess of power over grip, great looks and noise with no nod to tradition or conservatism! This was first fully epitomised in the TVR Tasmin 400 SE which proved to be a success in both the showroom and on the track.

This extraordinary TVR Tasmin 400SE was supplied new by the TVR Centre in Barnet on 3rd November 1990 to it's only owner from new. (it was registered new to his wife's name changing to his name in 1996)

Finished in Mica Blue with doeskin leather upholstery it remains today completely original and unmodified in any way from the production line, which included the optional fitment of poweer steering It was used regularly but sparingly up until 2006 when it was put in to professional storage with Manor Storage near Stansted, at a mileage of 19697.

In 2010 it was recommissioned and covered a further 409 miles during that summer before being returned to storage until Spring of this year, when our vendor then sent it to Castle TVR for a thorough service, fresh MOT and re-commissioning. All documentation, including the original purchase sheet, handbooks, all invoices, original number plates and tax discs along with the original spare key are present confirming the warranted 20,155 miles from new.

It is unlikely that a more original or cleaner Tasmin 400 SE exists today. The vendor confirms an accident free history and that all major components are factory original which combine to make this unique car highly collectable as well as great fun to use.
